Character:
Appearance: Short black combed-back hair, brown eyes, chocolate brown skin, 6' 4”, 175lbs
Vance has short, black hair that is kept by combing it back smoothly, preventing wind resistance when running. He has brown eyes that are mindful of its surroundings, appearing to be narrow, yet when one really looks in them, they see a bit of the inner softness that lies within. His chocolate brown skin is smooth & supple, yet strong enough to heal quickly when damaged. He stands at a tall 6' 4” weighing at 175 lbs, making him a little intimidating at first, even though he's laid back and peaceful by nature.
His outfit consists of cool colors, mainly black, blue, white, and silver or gray. He wears a blue and white jacket under a black shirt with blue cargo jeans, as well as black fingerless gloves, a blue & gray backpack, and red & white street shoes. He has a tattoo of a blue sharp-looking spiral.
Characteristics:
Vance is calm and easy-going at first glance, looking laid-back as he walks with a calm stride. However, he is ever-vigilant about his surroundings. He is adamant about keeping his own willpower and ideas, not willing to compromise unless there was a epic good reason. He also had a strong sense of what was fair, good, and just, as well as a urge to confront the offender and stand up for those that need it, regardless of law, status, or gender. This was coupled with his violent temper.
Still, Vance is naturally peaceful and good-natured. He was an imaginative dreamer who likes watching scenic views, feeling the wind against his body, and then writing about the inspiration generated by it. He holds a special place for the woman, being pro-female and a romantic, often socializing with them more than men. He also likes to drop bits of wisdom and phrases here and there, showing his helpful side.
Vance is quite active, despite him being laid-back. He enjoys parkour and free-running, dashing and leaping across buildings, structures, and whatever. The city is Vance's training ground, and he's become familiar in getting around it using his athletic finesse. When he's not moving around, he plays video games like RPGs, fighting & beat-em-ups, racing, action, and adventure, though he's not too picky as long as it has good gameplay. His biggest passions, however, involve writing about fantasy and cooking, loving to do both and talk about them to his friends.
Vance's fighting reciprocates with his active lifestyle, being quick and agile and delivering swift blows to the enemy to keep them on their toes and unable to think. His mind runs like an engine in a fight, always thinking of the next maneuver, unless he needs to do something specific, at which point he goes defensive until the appropriate action comes to mind.
Strengths:
Strong-willed, optimistic, friendly, sense of justice, compassionate, active, thoughtful, wise, supportive, sensitive to others
Weaknesses:
Stubborn, tempermental, confrontational, violent, daydreamer, emotional, hold grudges, defiant, reckless
Greatest Fear:
Vance has a great fear of losing his mind and will to anyone, which is why he is aggressive about keeping them his own. He values his mind and free will more than anything, and will tear through heaven and hell to maintain it.
Dream:
To find that special soulmate, to make his own fantasy novels & video game stories, and to open his own restaurant.
Motto:
“Live for yourself and what you believe in.”

History:
Vance and his family grew up in the rougher parts of WI in the USA. Surrounded by the environment called the ghetto, Vance didn't exactly have a nice childhood. He had to fend for himself everyday against the rowdy children he had to deal with, on the school bus, in his neighborhood, and at school. Little did Vance know that this was just the beginning of his training, which his father, Vincent, was fully aware of. Vincent was a protector and hero, having fought the on-going battle of good vs evil, on the good side. He battled ever since his own psychic abilities manifested when he was young. Every time Vance cried about how hard life was, Vincent made an effort to steel him for what would come the next day, with his mother, Tessa, always there to comfort him.
One day, Vincent had to go Japan for business reasons, which was cover to hide that he was going to investigate the events involving monsters. Only Tessa knew knew of this, but she dared not speak a word. However, he did not return as he was supposed to. This left Tessa without her husband, and 10-yr-old Vance without a father.
Gathering what they could, Tessa took her son to a suburban area, which was a drastic change than the ghetto they left behind. Still, nothing could help him get over what happened to his dad. As he continued his education, he got into activities like track and field, literature & writing, and culinary arts. He also felt something stirring in him that he never knew was there before. As he grew, the feeling got stronger within him. One day, he witnessed a bully picking on a girl, and the feeling inside him ignited like a wildfire dumped on with gasoline. He dashed at the bully, breaking his jaw and pummeling him to the ground with strength he never had before. Looking at what he did, he turned to the girl he saved, who rewarded him with a kiss. It was his first taste of chivalry, of justice, of fighting for what was right. And he loved it. So he did it more often. However, all the violence caught up to him when he was reported to the principal. He argued that he was just helping making things better, but the principal did not approve of violence in school, so he made him stay in detention after school. It was his first taste of injustice despite his good intentions. The school counselor tried talking to him about how to solve problems without violence, but it just didn't make sense to him, and he felt more claustrophobic as she went on. He felt like there was something wrong with the minds of everyone around him when it came to what was right and wrong. If he fought against the bullies, they would stop. If he didn't, they would get away with whatever they wanted. It was that simple. He had to stand up for those who couldn't. As he felt stronger about what he believed in, he felt that feeling inside him again.
He was 16 when this feeling was unleashed. He was headed home when he saw a woman being roughed up and robbed by two guys, then escaping into the woods nearby. He couldn't stand for this. Something deep inside him flared out like a fiery explosion. He suddenly found himself flying at the two muggers, literally, surrounded by strange energy, and soaring at the two muggers faster than they could spot him. All the woman heard was a series of thuds and crashes, and in the end, Vance came out, the muggers unconscious as he dragged them. The woman was very grateful as Vance helped her to her feet. She gave him money and a kiss, suggesting that he should be a superhero, fighting for good, protecting the innocent, and defeating evil. The idea was very interesting to him, but he wasn't really sure if he could act upon it.
He told his mom about what had happened, realizing what was inevitable. He sat down with Vance and told him about his father, and that he was capable of similar things. She said that he had a destiny before him that was far beyond anything he ever dreamed, and someday he was going to be a part of it. She also mentioned that being the reason his father left was he had to fight evil in Japan, and whatever happened, he must've found something. Upon hearing this, he knew what he had to do.
The next morning, Vance received a package from Japan sent directly to him. It contained a peculiar-looking bracer with the sign of a sharp spiral on it. Tessa told him that it was his father's transformation bracer, the Metagizer, allowing him to change into special armor designed to increase his physical abilities and protect him, made long ago by wizards and scientists and handed down throughout generations. As he put it on, he had a conversation with his father's spirit, who told him about monsters in Japan, and that he had to fight them for him. When he was done, he passed on what was left of his psionic energy and passed away. It was so much to take in, but he knew what he had to do. As soon as he graduated high-school, he would go to Japan and carry on his father's investigation.
But questions still swarmed his mind. What exactly happened to dad? Where did the Metagizer and armor come from? And who were these evil beings, and why were they here? He would find out soon enough.
Favorite Family Memory:
Sunday Dinner. Vance would help out in the kitchen to make food every sunday, and then sit and talk together. His fondest times were when his father was still alive.
Senshi/Hero/Villain Information:
Henshin/Transformation Item: Vance uses a bracer called the Metagizer. It's silver and blue with a smooth stone in the middle. The stone glows with a blue sharp-looking spiral when Vance says the henshin phrase.
Henshin Phrase: “Metagizer IGNITE!”
Henshin Outfit: A full-armor suit of blue and silver, complete with helmet, increasing his mental powers and concentrating them.
Weapons:
Mind Blade) Psyral can produce a blade of telekinetic energy the size of long sword, one for each hand. Using concentrated telekinetic force, the blades can not only attack physical things, but it can strike at incorporeal beings, such as ghosts. The blades can be brought together to form a blade 2x stronger and longer than they were separately.
Attacks:
Force Shield) Psyral creates a defensive force field that protects him from physical damage. Instead, his stamina is spent every time a physical force hits the shield. The force field can also protect those that are near him.
Construct Form) By using a bit of imagination and focus, Psyral can create a telekinetic drone in the shape of whatever he chooses, such as a humanoid body shape, as long as its the same size as himself. While using this, he is completely defenseless as he needs the time to concentrate, and any direct, physical disturbance will dispel the construct.
Psy-clone) Psyral creates a vortex of wind with his telekinesis, forming and compacting it into a spiraling ring, and then releasing it at the target in a column of rushing, ripping, spiraling wind. The attack is very draining, however, and requires Psyral to recover for a moment after using.
Spinball) Surrounding himself in a field of telekinesis, he curls up into a tight ball and rotate himself vertically forward at fast speeds, flying himself at targets in a full-contact tackle. He must keep his focus during this attack, otherwise he'll make himself dizzy and crash. For more of an “edge”, he can use this attack with his Mind Blades pointed outward, giving more of a sawblade appearance and effect.
Ability: Telekinetic Flight) Focusing on using telekinesis, Psyral lift his own body off of the land and make himself fly anywhere, as long as he can retain focus of his destination. He can also carry things with him during flight, as long as they don't exceed his normal carrying limit of 150-200 lbs, however, he needs even more focus to both hold said weight and maintain flight. The flight time is limited only by how long he can hold his thoughts on flying, but when his thoughts drift from the flight, his power deactivates and he falls like a normal human.
Hero History:
The Metagizer was handed down centuries ago, originating from medieval times in a more primitive form, but the metal's magical properties allowed it to evolve with its user, and with it, so did the armor and its weaponry. Created by great minds of alchemy, psionics, and arcana, they claimed its creation to be inspiration from beyond the realm of the living. They entrusted it to only its most skilled and powerful psychics, knowing only their strong minds could handle its power. This bloodline was the Brices. They were known for their roles as protectors and justice-bringers, fighting evil by out-thinking them and overpowering them with their will. They were strong on their own, but the Metagizer made them even stronger, and they needed it to take on the beasts and creatures of myth and legend.
